Floods in several areas of the country/ Berisha: A state of natural disaster

Democratic Party Leader Sali Berisha spoke at length today about the situation in the country with flooding in several areas due to intense rainfall.

In a press conference, Berisha called for the immediate declaration of a state of natural disaster in the most affected areas.

Berisha accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of showing an indifferent attitude towards the situation, while accusing him of stealing funds. 

"There are thousands of homes, businesses and factories that have suffered irreparable damage. The Democratic Party demands the immediate declaration of a state of natural disaster in these areas."

Rama, who is doing his bit, does not announce the situation in Durrës, Lezha, Shkodra and other regions, only because the law forces him to respond to disasters one by one. This indifferent attitude is a kind of crime in itself.

The natural disaster is of unprecedented proportions, while Rama reacts with indifference and mockery towards the flooded citizens. This cynical attitude shames any person with a conscience, but Ramaduro is in great panic and horror and does not know what to say.

"Undoubtedly, the rainfall has been intense, but the causes of the magnitude of this flood are absolutely the theft of funds," Berisha said./ CNA
