Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias has reacted to today's high-level meetings in Tirana, as part of his official visit to Albania.

Through a post on the 'X' platform, Dendias writes that he discussed with Rama the broader geopolitical situation in the region.

Among other things, Dendias mentions that he also spoke with the Prime Minister about Himara, which, according to him, he considers his place of origin.

"I was received by the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, during my visit to Tirana. We analyzed the broader geopolitical situation in our wider region. I had the opportunity to speak about Himara, where I consider my origin, and to reiterate my position that the Greek National Minority is a bridge of friendship between the two states and peoples," Dendias writes. /CNA
