Former Speaker of the Parliament and DP MP Jozefina Topalli has commented on the recent changes in the government cabinet, describing them as a sign of a declining government.

She emphasized that unilaterally changing the regulation is unbelievable, but represents a typical action of a government that is slipping.

According to her, shortening the time of opposition MPs is a practice that only occurs in countries that are sliding towards dictatorship.

Topalli's statements come at a time when the government is facing frequent cabinet changes, sparking debates over its stability and legitimacy.

"Changing ministers so quickly, without the public learning their names, is an expression of a government that is collapsing. The real ministers are not in parliament, the real ministers are the heads of the groups that never appear on camera. Changing the regulation unilaterally is unbelievable, but an act of a government that is slipping."

Shortening the term of opposition MPs happens in countries that slide into dictatorships. Albanians are aware of the moment we are in.

"That's why Albanians are aware of the moment we are living in. The powers that are slipping in collaboration with crime and drugs think they can win at times when wars are taking place," said Topalli./ CNA
