Këlliçi: Albanians pay millions of euros for Rama and Veliaj's

Democratic MP Belind Këlliçi said today that Albanian citizens are paying millions of euros for actions by Prime Minister Edi Rama and the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, which are based on their humor and personal sympathies.

Through a post on social media, Këlliçi mentions cases of several media outlets that have already been closed in Albania, which, after winning the courts, are demanding compensation paid from citizens' taxes.

"Albanians continue to pay millions for the humor and personal sympathies of Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj."

70 million euros that could have been new schools or kindergartens, new health centers, pension increases or medicine reimbursements, escaped the state budget in just one year, because Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj were annoyed by a television station and couldn't bring it under control.

Edi Rama hopes that one of the biggest financial crimes he committed will be forgotten, denying Albanians 110 million euros, taking their taxes and their jobs, to pay for his scandal with Beketi.

From the mullah-like behavior of him and his then-boyfriend, Veliaj, to threats and blackmail, the Italian entrepreneur closed the television station that was not refreshing the government and won the trial in international arbitration.

Albanians must now pay 110 million euros because of a personal whim of Edi Rama or because Agon TV filmed Veliaj's wedding, which was not at all secret and in a closed place, but in the Gjirokastra Castle.

Every year, large sums of money are siphoned off from the state budget for these lost issues due to the personal sympathies of the tall Palloshi.
Do Albanians, the poorest people in the region and in Europe, owe it to the Prime Minister to play with their taxes in this way?!

SPAK should have held Edi Rama accountable for this economic crime in time.
But no matter how much he delays, he will not escape accountability. There will never be an amnesty for this damage he has done to Albanian citizens”, writes Këlliçi. /CNA
