Prime Minister Edi Rama has opened the campaign for the November 9 elections in Vlora through a status on social media. Rama declares that the coastal city this Sunday will have a female mayor for the first time.
"And with beautiful Vlora, which this Sunday will be for the first time with a female mayor, I wish you a good week ," Rama writes.
In the Municipality of Vlora, Brunilda Mersini of the Socialist Party, Dionis Sota supported by the opposition, and Gjergj Nika, an independent candidate, are running.
On November 9, 2025, partial local elections will be held in 5 municipalities of the country, in Cërrik, Vlorë, Berat, Mat, Tepelena./ CNA
