Arrested under the influence of alcohol and drugs/ Britney Spears enters rehab

Britney Spears has reportedly voluntarily entered a rehabilitation center, just a month after being arrested in California on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

According to her representative, the decision for treatment was made by the singer herself and comes as part of a "necessary plan for her well-being," while family and loved ones are working to support her during this period.

She is expected to appear in court in California in three weeks to face the charge. Earlier, police stopped her on suspicion of driving erratically and at high speed on a highway, and authorities said she showed signs of intoxication during the stop.

Britney Spears is one of pop music's biggest stars, known for hits like "Toxic," "Baby One More Time" and "Stronger," and has been under legal guardianship for 13 years that ended in 2021. /CNA
