The official trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 has broken viewing records, racking up 222 million views in just 24 hours since its release by American film company 20th Century Studios. This is an indication of how high the public's expectations are for the return of one of the most popular films of recent decades. 

The new trailer has now entered the top ten most successful trailers of all time worldwide, in terms of views it recorded in the first 24 hours. 20th Century Studios itself has also reacted to this record through a post on X.

"222,000,000 trailer views in 24 hours? Record breaking. Literally. Thank you for making "The Devil Wears Prada 2" the most viewed trailer of all time for 20th Century Studios ," the post reads.

The 52-second trailer had 185 million views on its first day of release last November, hinting that the sequel would be a huge success. The new film with the legendary cast comes with the long-awaited return of Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci. The film is set to hit theaters in the US on May 1 of this year. /CNA
