First in Spanish/ Bad Bunny wins Grammy Award for Album of the Year 2026

Bad Bunny won the 2026 Grammy Award for Album of the Year with his album DeBI TiRAR MaS FOToS. This is the first award in Grammy history for an entire Spanish-language album in this major category.

During his victory, Bad Bunny gave an emotional speech, honoring his homeland, Puerto Rico, and dedicating the award to all those who were forced to leave their countries to pursue their dreams.

Before this win, he also won Best Urban Music Album, using the microphone to deliver a message against ICE (the US Immigration Agency) and saying that people are not savages, nor animals, nor aliens, but Americans.

Kendrick Lamar also had a big night, becoming the most Grammy-winning rap artist in history, as he won several awards, including Best Rap Album and Record of the Year.

Olivia Dean was named Best Female Artist and Billie Eilish won Song of the Year for "Wildflower."
