An increased demand for travel to Europe has been evident, with American singer and performer Taylor Swift being the main reason for this increase.

According to Amadeus flight search data, international searches for travel to Paris, France, are up 21 percent, particularly over the seven days, reports  SchengenVisaInfo.com. 

The same trend of increased flights corresponding to Taylor Swift's concert dates was observed in Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway and the USA.

According to eDreams, demand for flights to Stockholm during May 17 and 19, which correspond to Taylor Swift's performance dates, has increased by six times compared to the same period last year. Similarly, demand for flights to Warsaw, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Paris on days when Swift's concerts are scheduled increased by 339 per cent, 176 per cent, 133 per cent and 108 per cent respectively.

A new research project, carried out by YouGov for Amadeus in four European markets, reveals that almost half (49 percent) of Spaniards have previously traveled to attend a concert or festival, spending at least one night away from home together with 48 percent of British, 44 percent of Germans and 34 percent of French travelers./ CNA
