"Difficult winter is coming"/ Here are some techniques on how you can save energy

With the arrival of winter in many countries in the world, including Albania, it has been warned that there will be problems regarding the provision of electrical energy.

That's why we need to save electricity in order not to have bigger consequences.

Below are some ideas on how you can save energy while using electrical appliances.

1. The fuller the refrigerator is, the less it uses

The consumer center in Brandenburg has stated that about 20 percent of the energy in the refrigerator is lost every time you open the door. Logically, if the fridge is filled with water bottles, it will lose less energy because the bottles will act as cold storage

This will help you use less energy than if you had an empty refrigerator.

"In the long term, this leads to lower energy consumption," says energy consultant Jahn. It doesn't have to be water bottles, but dishes would work too.

2. Washing dishes by dishwasher or by hand?

A study carried out in 200 families at the University of Bonn, Germany, is centered on finding out where more energy is wasted: when washing dishes in the sink or in the dishwasher.

He concluded that a dishwasher is 50 percent more economical with water and 28 percent with electricity than washing by hand. If during the winter you use more hot water than cold when washing dishes, then you are wasting more energy than if you were washing dishes in the dishwasher.

In contrast, the sink is the best solution to save.

3. Grading of laundry

If you wash clothes at 40 degrees, instead of 60 degrees, you use 50% less energy. Therefore, it is suggested that you wash clothes with shorter programs using the one with a short process.

This is because the more hot water you need, the more energy you use.
