A newlywed man was 'shocked' to discover he had met his wife 19 years his junior years earlier, when she was just a baby.

Rich Foetu Tomkinson, 48, married Evie Foetu Tomkinson, 29, last month after meeting in a bar.

Despite the age difference, the two fell madly in love, and when it came time for Rich to meet Evie's parents, they realized that they had met years before, and most likely he had met his wife when she was just a baby.

Rich, a surveyor, from Stafford, Staffordshire, said: “It was a bit 'scary' when I realized I had met Evie as a baby, but we just laughed about it. Age is just a number to us and you don't get to choose who you fall in love with." 

"Marrying him was the most beautiful day of my life and I am very excited that we will have a child together."

Rich and Evie had their first spark when they met in a bar in July 2018. The couple decided to live together in February 2019 and then Rich proposed in September 2019, writes "Daily Mail".

When Rich met Evie's mum Sarah Owen, 53, he realized they had actually met before, working on the same road as each other in the 90s, meaning he had seen Evie as a baby. /CNA.al
