A team of scientists in Argentina have discovered the fossils of a new giant predatory dinosaur.

The species had a giant head but small wings. The dinosaur called Meraxes gigas was about 36 ft (11 m) long, with a 4 ft skull but the keahs were only 2 ft long but with strong muscles, an advantage for the animal.  

They may have used their arms for reproductive behavior or to prop themselves up or prop themselves up after a break or a fall.

Meraxes gigas belonged to carcorodontosaurids or shark-toothed lizards.

These reptiles, which are thought to have weighed about 4 tons, are believed to have moved on Earth about 90-100 million years ago./ CNA.al
