The Hollywood star, Leonardo DiCaprio, has been one of the celebrities who has made the most public appeals regarding the protection of the river 'Vjosa'. Recently, he made a reaction after the decision to declare it a National Park.

On his Instagram account, the actor has posted a video announcing that the Albanian government is just one step away from declaring Vjosa a national park.

The Government of Albania is one step closer to declaring Europe's first wild river National Park, having recently partnered with Patagonia to protect the Vjosa River – an effort that includes the #SavetheBlueHeartofEurope campaign.

Albania's Vjosa River is the largest wild river in Europe. The river and its tributaries flow untamed from the source to the sea, creating a biodiverse ecosystem that covers over 300 km.
