Saimir Pirgu, magical evening in Shiroka

Shiroka was filled with emotions and high musical art during the concert of Saimir Pirgu, one of the most famous Albanian tenors in the world. The Shkodra Symphony Orchestra, under the virtuoso direction of Elda Laro, and the children's choir of the "Kujtim Alija" Cultural Center, created a unique atmosphere, bringing the spectators to their feet several times amid continuous applause.

This concert brought back actress Ema Ndoja after many years of absence, this time in the role of presenter.

In his speech, tenor Saimir Pirgu thanked the audience for their extraordinary energy! Meanwhile, Mayor Benet Beci said that there are other projects for Shkodra together with the famous tenor.

"It's a great emotion for me, it's my first time in Shkodra. I feel excited. If one of these children who sang with me becomes a singer or tenor, I have done my job. God has blessed Shkodra with mountains, sea and everything beautiful. I believe that in the future we will have more opportunities," said tenor Saimir Pirgu.

"We have some good plans for the future with the maestro. We have seen the theater and I think it will turn into a temple of music there. Shkodra has the artistic soul, it has everything to be a magical city for culture. This was an unforgettable night, there was an extraordinary chemistry between the maestro, the children and the audience," said Benet Beci.

"What a pleasure, I don't know, everything that happened tonight at dinner is indescribable. I hear Saimir everywhere in the world, but tonight was wonderful and I think it will definitely remain in the memory of Shkodra and mine," declared Elda Laro.

"I had a lot of emotions, but being at home, I coped with them. The audience is extremely cultured and I had also suggested to Saimir that it is his audience, the audience he loves," said presenter Ema Ndoja.

Experienced artist, Zana Çela, now the General Director of the National Tourism Agency, as well as composer Zef Çoba, praised Shiroka this evening as more beautiful than ever, while the Shkodra audience experienced an unforgettable night.

"I am particularly happy that Shiroka, Lake Shkodra, one of the most beautiful destinations that our country has, was illuminated in a very special way today by Saimir Pirgu and the city's symphony orchestra. Today was a special night because it brought the most beautiful vocals in the world," said Zana Çela.

"With all the beauties that Shiroka offers, tonight was purer and more beautiful with this concert that brought such a well-known singer as Saimir Pirgu with a very selected and challenging repertoire. It was good with the conductor Elda Laro, a girl who grew up in Shkodra and familiar with the tradition that Shkodra has. It was beautiful with the symphony orchestra, but also with the children's choir."
