Program with a series of cultural activities/ Saudi Cultural Week is organized

On September 16-20, the Saudi Cultural Week in the Republic of Albania will be organized at the "Palace of Congresses" in Tirana.

This activity will open a window for cultural exchange between the two countries and will provide the opportunity to get to know Saudi culture up close, strengthening shared cultural ties.

The cultural week will feature a diverse range of Saudi cultural institutions, including heritage, music, libraries, literature, publishing and translation, film, culinary, fashion, theatre and performing arts institutions, as well as the Royal Wirth Institute of Traditional Arts and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman World Center for Arabic Calligraphy initiative. Together, they will bring unique cultural activities that reflect the richness of Saudi culture.

The program will include musical concerts, stage performances, an exhibition of rare Arabic manuscripts preserved in the Saudi library, Saudi film screenings, displays of traditional clothing, an exhibition of Arabic calligraphy, and presentations on UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Kingdom. There will also be exhibitions of archaeological artifacts, traditional Saudi hospitality, including Saudi coffee, presentations of Saudi cooking, various workshops for artists and professionals from both countries, and debate forums with intellectuals and writers.

The “Year of Crafts 2025” initiative will participate in the Cultural Week with informative content on crafts and their historical and cultural significance, to raise awareness of them as an element of Saudi culture. An artisan will also participate in the initiative’s pavilion, who will interact directly with the public.

The Saudi Cultural Week in Albania is part of a series of cultural weeks organized in various friendly and partner countries, with the aim of strengthening cultural exchange as one of the objectives of the National Strategy for Culture, under the framework of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, aiming to increase the presence of Saudi culture on the international stage./CNA
