It is learned that about 10 people have been questioned by the police in connection with the serious incident that occurred yesterday evening in Vlora, where an assassination attempt was carried out against a 30-year-old man for reasons that have not yet been officially clarified.

Yesterday evening, police conducted checks in Rrëshen and set up checkpoints at the entrances and exits of the city.

The people who were questioned are mainly those who were at the scene and saw how the murder of the 30-year-old man on the Fier-Vlora highway occurred.

Also, family members of the victim were accompanied to the police station and asked about his past or any conflicts he may have had in the past.

The serious incident occurred at around 18:15, near the village of Novoselë, and about 300 meters away, the suspected perpetrators' car was also found burned.

The victim, identified by the initials KM, had a previous criminal record, having shot and killed a citizen in 2023, and this leaves room to suspect that the incident occurred for reasons of revenge.

Police are continuing their investigations as there is still no official information regarding the murder and the perpetrators are still unidentified. /CNA
