Attempted to smuggle 20 packages of drugs into Greece/Two people wanted

The Investigation Section services at the DVKM and the Border Police patrol patrolling the border line with Greece over the villages of Vidohovë and Ponçarë in Devoll, between pyramids 43 and 44, have observed two citizens in the distance carrying two bags suspected of containing narcotics.

The Border Police services have been tracking them and have also notified the services of the Korça Local Police Directorate.

The two citizens who were carrying the bags, when they saw the police officers, abandoned their bags and fled deep into the border, where the Greek Border Police services were also notified.

From examining the bags, the investigation team determined that inside them there were 20 packages filled with narcotics with a total weight of 32.3 kilograms.

The Narcotics Investigation Section of the Korça Police Department, in cooperation with the Korça Local Border and Migration Directorate, have made it possible to identify one of the suspects who was transporting the narcotics, although for investigation reasons we are not disclosing his general information.

Work continues to identify the other perpetrator and other persons involved in this attempted drug trafficking./ CNA
