Over 251,000 euros were seized in the Port of Durrës/ Medical drugs were

251,295 euros were seized this Saturday morning in the Port of Durrës, thanks to the "Flux" operation.

The money belonged to the citizen with the initials MH, 58 years old, resident in neighborhood no. 13, Durrës, who was arrested by the Border Police services, in cooperation with the customs authorities.

The 58-year-old came from Italy. He had hidden the money, together with some medications in his vehicle, with the aim of bringing them into Albania, without declaring them according to the laws in force.

The amount of money and medications were seized as material evidence. Investigations for the legal documentation of this case continue.

Meanwhile, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the Durrës General Jurisdiction, for further actions, for the criminal offenses "Failure to declare money and valuables at the border", "Cleaning of the products of the criminal offense or activity criminal" and "Smuggling with licensed goods"./ CNA
