11 packages of counterfeit euros seized/ Four arrested and one wanted

The capital's police have cracked down on a case of counterfeiting banknotes and as a result have arrested 4 people.

While another person has been declared wanted. A. B, 19 years old, a 17-year-old, S. L, 26 years old and E. A, 19 years old have been arrested. While A. P, 19 years old, has been declared wanted.

The arrested and the wanted person cooperated in the form of a criminal group to place counterfeit euro banknotes on the market.

Officers seized 11 packages containing counterfeit euro banknotes.

The police operation codenamed "Wrong Delivery" is finalized.

 

They collaborated in the form of a criminal group to place suspected counterfeit euro banknotes on the market, 4 citizens were arrested and another was declared wanted.

 

11 packages containing suspected counterfeit euro banknotes are seized.

 

The Economic and Financial Crime Investigation Section at the Tirana Police Department, under the direction of the Prosecution, has finalized the police operation codenamed "Wrong Delivery", with the aim of cracking down on the criminal activity of counterfeiting banknotes.

 

As a result of the operation, citizens A. B, 19 years old, resident of Shkodër; a 17-year-old minor, resident of Tirana; S. L, 26 years old, resident of Tirana and E. A, 19 years old, resident of Tirana were arrested in flagrante delicto. Citizen A. P, 19 years old, resident of Krujë, was also declared wanted.

 

Citizens SL, EA and the minor were caught red-handed while attempting to withdraw 11 packages containing suspected counterfeit euro banknotes from a post office in Tirana. These shipments were made by citizen AB, who used a false business name to disguise the activity and distribute the counterfeit banknotes.

 

Work continues to capture the wanted citizen, AP, as well as to fully document this criminal activity.

 

The procedural materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
