They were circulating firearms and narcotics/ Two young men arrested in Kruja

Kruja Police have finalized a police operation codenamed "Armed", which resulted in the arrest and handcuffing of a 22-year-old man, based on information provided by police intelligence.

The young man was driving with a firearm, a pistol, and cannabis in his vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was also arrested for failing to report a crime.

The police seized the firearm, a pistol, ammunition, a quantity of narcotics, and the vehicle.

During the operation, in Fushë Krujë, the Police services stopped the vehicle with the driver, citizen A. V., and the passenger, citizen AD. During the physical search, citizen AD was found to be in possession of 1 firearm, a pistol, combat ammunition, and a quantity of suspected narcotic substance, cannabis sativa.

At the end of the procedural actions, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:  

AD, 22 years old, resident of Kruja, for the criminal offenses “Unlicensed production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition” and “Production and sale of narcotics”;

AV, 27 years old, resident of Kruja, for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime".

The procedural materials were passed to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
