Execution of 67-year-old in Kurbin/Perpetrator arrested

The 53-year-old DT, who is suspected of killing the 67-year-old DM yesterday evening, has been arrested by the Lezha Police. The incident occurred in the village of Zhejë, Kurbin.  

The crime is suspected to have been caused by a property dispute between the perpetrator and the victim. Police announced that during the arrest, the 57-year-old was also found with the firearm with which he is suspected of committing the crime.

It is suspected that a 67-year-old man was shot dead yesterday in the village of Vilëz. As a result of intensive police checks, the 53-year-old was arrested and put in handcuffs. 

The operation to locate and capture this citizen was carried out without interruption by the operational services of the Lezha Police Department, in cooperation with the services of the National Security Force, Shkodra Unit.

During the operation, checks were carried out throughout the territory of the village where the incident occurred and in the surrounding areas. As a result, at noon today, the following citizen was located, arrested and handcuffed in the village of Vilëz:   

DT, 53 years old, resident of the village of Zhejë, Kurbin.

At the moment of his arrest by the Police, the firearm with which he is suspected of killing 67-year-old DM was found on this citizen, for property reasons.

Investigations are continuing under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office to document the circumstances and cause of the murder.

The procedural materials will be passed on to the Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
