SPAK action/ Assets worth 1.2 million euros seized

The police operation codenamed "Fraud" is being finalized, to track down and seize assets derived from crime.

The operation was carried out by the Money Laundering and Criminal Assets Investigation Section of the Tirana DVP, under the direction of SPAK.

4 real estate properties, worth approximately 1,200,000 euros, belonging to a citizen with a record of computer fraud in the stock market are seized.

The police announced today that, following the tracking and investigative work, to ascertain and seize assets derived from criminal activities, the operation codenamed "Fraud" was finalized, within the framework of which the decision of the Criminal Court of Kosovo was executed, for the seizure of 4 assets of citizen EK, 42 years old, resident of Tirana.

Specifically, a seizure was imposed on 1 apartment, 2 parking spaces for vehicles and 1 commercial entity, assets which are suspected to derive from the 42-year-old's criminal activity in the field of computer fraud on the stock exchanges.

The procedural materials were referred to SPAK for further action. /CNA
