A member of the Gaxhai gang is arrested / How he tried to escape from the hands

The police arrested a member of the Gaxhai gang yesterday.

It is learned that Armando Sulejmani, also known by the nickname Çipuri, was arrested in the city of Durrës.

The Blues tried to stop the vehicle in which Sulejmani was traveling, but the latter disobeyed the order and tried to leave quickly.

The operatives made it possible to arrest him, while it turned out that the vehicle had stolen license plates.

The police have announced the search for the 26-year-old with the initials LZ, the owner of the vehicle driven by the 48-year-old, who is suspected of being an accomplice in the theft of license plates.

"Following the investigative and operational actions carried out in implementation of the measures drawn up within the operational plan "Rule of Law", the crime investigation specialists of the Durrës Police Station, in cooperation with the services of the Special Force "Shqiponja" DVP Durrës, based on the information provided by the information intelligence, about a citizen who was driving a vehicle with stolen license plates, which could be used to commit criminal events, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Replacement", for the capture of this citizen and the seizure of the vehicle.

During the operation, in Spitalle, the Police services signaled a stop to the "Mercedes Benz" type vehicle, driven by the citizen AS, who did not obey the order to stop and tried to leave quickly. As a result of quick police actions, citizen AS was caught and escorted to the police station for further action.

From the investigative actions, it turned out that the license plates of the "Mercedes Benz" type vehicle, driven by this citizen, were stolen and belonged to a "Land Rover" type vehicle, stolen on 03.11.2023, in Tirana. During the check in the trunk of the "Mercedes Benz" type vehicle, the original license plates of this vehicle were found.

At the end of the first procedural actions for this case, citizen AS, 48 years old, resident of Vlora, previously convicted of murder, was arrested in the act.

Also, citizen LZ, 26 years old, resident of Tirana, owner of the vehicle driven by the 48-year-old, suspected of being an accomplice in the theft of the "Land Rover" type vehicle, was declared wanted.

The "Mercedes Benz" type vehicle, its license plates and the stolen license plates were seized as material evidence, together with a screwdriver and 3 mobile phones.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions", the police announcement states./ CNA
