The murder of the 17-year-old / Macron's appeal to French parents

In a press release, French President Emmanuel Macron urged parents to keep children away from the riots, noting that some of the participants were "very young".

He added that social media has manipulated children over the past few days, influencing their behavior.

Macron's call comes as a result of the massive protests taking place in France over the killing of the 17-year-old by a policeman.

The young man with the initials NM of Algerian origin was shot dead by the police, after he did not obey orders to stop the vehicle he was driving at the time.

This event has irritated the French people and the situation has precipitated massive violent protests by the citizens.

Despite the high number of effectives on the ground, protesters have destroyed many private businesses and burned dozens of cars in several French cities.
