The 3-day storm Daniel has caused flooding and claimed 1 life in central Greece.

Houses have been flooded, a bridge collapsed, roads destroyed, power lines downed and crops in the fertile fields of Thessaly disappeared.

CNA has provided some images from the floods in the area of ??Larissa, from this it can be seen that everything is under the power of water.

The rescue teams are also noticed, which this Saturday are carrying out their action in the villages near the city of Larissa and near the Pineios river.

Civil defense authorities have requested the evacuation of residents of 35 villages. 

Specifically, messages have been sent to the residents of Anagenisi, Melia, Modestos, Prodromos, Glafki, Platykampos, Eleftherio, Dimitra, Neochori, Nammata, Kastri, Kato Amygdali, Rizomylos, Stefanovikio, Armenio, Kokkines, Niki, Achileio, Lofiskos, Kalamaki, Melissa, Alexandrini, Palaeopyrgos, Mesagala, Omolio, Stomio, Kastri Loutro, Kouloura, Kato Rapsani, Tempe, Itea, Gonnoi, Makrychori and Evangelismos, in the regions of Larissa and Magnesia. 

The fire brigade has so far evacuated 2806 people throughout Greece. In the Thessaly region, many residents were airlifted from the roofs of submerged houses.

The authorities have so far confirmed 11 victims and stated that 4 people have been reported missing./ CNA
