Ukraine hits chemical plant in Russia with missiles/Moscow's response

Ukraine has struck a Russian chemical plant with Storm Shadow missiles. The military said it was a successful strike that penetrated the Russian air defense system and that the result was massive.

In response, a few hours later Russia launched a heavy attack with drones and missiles on several Ukrainian regions, causing six casualties, including two children.

Two people were killed in airstrikes in the capital, and a woman and two children were killed in the Kiev region.

After the Russian attacks, Ukraine faced power outages in Kiev and Dnipropetrovsk, where Russia's focus was on thermal power plants.

The Ukrainian military said it was necessary to target Russian facilities that play a key role in Moscow's war against Ukraine. The Bryansk Chemical Plant is a key facility in the military-industrial complex.
