Eight victims from the bomb explosion in Kabul

A bomb hidden in a cart loaded with vegetables exploded in Kabul on August 5, killing at least eight people and wounding 18 others in an area mainly inhabited by Afghanistan's Shiite Muslim community.

The cart was parked in an area where residents buy food, said Khalid Zadran, the Taliban-appointed spokesman for the Kabul police.

Zadran initially reported that two people were killed and three others were injured in the blast, saying it happened in a civilian area.
