Shooting at a party/ 2 dead, 6 injured in Los Angeles

US authorities said two people were killed and six others were injured in a mass shooting at an after-party in downtown Los Angeles, US.

Officers saw someone running into what appeared to be a party with about 50 to 60 people in attendance, said Los Angeles Police Department Commanding Officer Leticia Ruiz. One person was arrested for possession of a firearm and officers cordoned off the scene, cleared it and left for another call.

Then, police received a call on the radio about gunshots, and officers responded to the scene again and found several people with gunshot wounds.

Police said the eight people shot were all adults. One of the injured is in critical condition.

Police have no information about the suspect or the motive for the incident./CNA
