"Lose weight and exercise more"/ Trump's medical checkup results

The White House released the results of President Donald Trump's medical checkup on Friday evening, distributing a report from his personal physician, which emphasizes that the president enjoys excellent health.

The doctor indicated that the president is fully capable of performing all the duties of Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.

"President Trump remains in excellent health, demonstrating strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function. Cognitive and physical performance is excellent. He is fully capable of performing all the duties of Commander-in-Chief and Head of State," wrote White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella.

According to the report, during the examination, the president was also offered dietary guidelines, a recommendation to take low-dose aspirin, increase physical activity, and continue weight loss.

The doctor said Trump is 1.90 meters tall and weighs 108 kilograms. At the check-up conducted in April last year, he weighed 102 kilograms.

The visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center was the third time Trump has undergone a medical checkup at this institution since his inauguration as the oldest president in US history.

Immediately after the examination, Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social, where he wrote: "Everything turned out PERFECTLY."

Since returning to the White House in 2025, apparent health concerns and speculation about his condition have prompted the administration to release more information about the president's physical condition.

The White House had announced that the swelling in the legs and ankles, observed last summer, was the result of chronic venous insufficiency, a condition where the valves of some veins do not function properly, allowing blood to pool.

In Friday's report, the president's doctor wrote that during the last check-up "a slight swelling was noted in the lower legs, with improvement compared to last year."

The president has also displayed visible bruises on his hands during his second term. The White House has said they are the result of frequent handshakes and have been covered up in photographs with cosmetics.

Meanwhile, according to the medical report, Trump also underwent a complete neurological examination, which showed normal mental status, intact functioning of the cranial nerves, as well as normal strength, sensation, reflexes, gait, and balance.

Regarding heart health, the doctor stated that an electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis supported by artificial intelligence estimated that the president's cardiac age is about 14 years younger than his biological age.

Trump also underwent the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a 10-minute test used to identify mild cognitive impairment and early stages of dementia. According to the doctor, the president received a maximum score of 30 out of a possible 30 points. /CNA
