Tense situation in the north of Kosovo/KFOR, calls to Pristina and Belgrade

KFOR has called on Pristina and Belgrade to refrain from actions that could incite tensions or cause an escalation of the situation.

KFOR, in the statement to the media, stated that it is ready to undertake all necessary actions to ensure a safe environment in a neutral and impartial manner.

"We call on all parties to refrain from actions that could fuel tensions or cause escalation. In accordance with its mandate, KFOR is ready to undertake all necessary actions to ensure a safe environment in a neutral and impartial manner. The KFOR Commander remains in close contact with his main interlocutors, including representatives of the Security Institutions and Organizations in Kosovo, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Serbia, as well as the EU-led Mission for Governance of Law (EULEX) and other representatives of the international community", says the statement to the Kosovar media./ CNA.al
