Investigators looking for the motive of the person suspected of the second assassination of Mr. Trump

US investigators are combing through the social media accounts and posts of the man suspected of involvement in the latest assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in an effort to find a motive and whether anyone else may have been involved in Sunday's incident.

Police in Florida arrested 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh on a major highway late Sunday after he sped away from former President Trump's golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Officials said data collected from suspect Ryan Routh's cellphone shows he was in ambush for 12 hours, hiding in some bushes along a golf course perimeter fence.

Suspect Ryan Routh has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and erasing the identification number of a weapon. He was ineligible to carry a gun because of a previous criminal conviction. In the United States, people with a criminal record are not allowed to buy or own guns. Officials said that when FBI investigators tried to speak with suspect Routh after his arrest, he refused to answer without an attorney present./VOA
