How far does your passport take you? Latest global ranking published

According to the latest Henley Passport Index, Singapore ranks as the most powerful passport in the world, allowing its citizens visa-free travel to 192 countries. It is followed by Japan and South Korea with access to 188 destinations.

In third place are five European countries: Denmark, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, with visa-free travel to 186 countries. Another group of European countries, including Germany, France and Italy, offer access to 185 destinations.

Albania ranks 43rd, allowing citizens visa-free travel to 121 countries, while Kosovo holds 49th place with 81 destinations.

A special case is that of the United Arab Emirates, which has recorded the greatest growth in the last two decades, thanks to active diplomacy and visa liberalization.

The index shows that passport power is closely linked to diplomatic policies and free travel agreements globally. /CNA
