The police confiscate weapons in the north/ They suspect a connection with the

The Kosovo Police announced that on Tuesday they conducted checks on Kralj Petri Street in Zveçan, and found significant amounts of weapons there.

Through a communique, the Police said that the case concerns a person of interest, who is suspected to be related to the Banjska case.

In the November 19 announcement, the Police said that during the search they found plastic jars buried in the ground, in which there were military uniforms, AK47 weapons, hand grenades and cartridges.

The Kosovo authorities have filed an indictment against more than 40 people for the attack that was carried out in Banjska in Zveçan, in September of last year by a Serbian group.

As a result of the attack, the sergeant of the Kosovo Police, Afrim Bunjaku, was killed.

Three Serbian attackers were also killed in the exchange of fire.

The responsibility for the attack was taken by the former vice-president of the Serbian List, Millan Radoicic, who has also been indicted.

He is currently believed to be at large in Serbia.

Three accused are in custody in Kosovo, while the rest are on the run.

Kosovo authorities blame the state of Serbia for this attack, which they consider terrorist, but official Belgrade denies everything.

The international factor has called on Belgrade several times to hold responsible the persons involved in the attack in Banjska./ REL
