Ukraine launches long-range missiles given by the US to Russia

Russia has stated that Ukraine has launched long-range missiles provided by the US. 

"Ukraine used the Army's Tactical Missile System (Atacms) in an attack in the Bryansk region of Russia this morning," the defense ministry in Moscow announced, writes the BBC. 

"Five rockets fell and one was damaged, with its fragments causing a fire at a military facility in the region," the statement said.

The use of American missiles was also reported in the Ukrainian media, but Ukraine has not yet commented.

In a statement, the Russian defense ministry said the attack began at 03:25 (00:25 GMT).

He said the attack, on a warehouse about 100 km from the border near the city of Karachev, caused 12 secondary explosions. / CNA
