The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has reacted after the signing of the protocols between Albania and Kosovo, for the free movement of citizens in the cross-border areas between the two countries.

Kurti writes that over 200,000 citizens of Kosovo and Albania who live in areas up to 30 km from the land border have the right to cross the border freely and stay in the border area, for social, cultural and family reasons.

Prime Minister Kurti writes that this agreement further deepens our interstate cooperation and facilitates the interaction of citizens on both sides of the border.

“Mundësohet lëvizja e lirë e qytetarëve në zonat ndërkufitare Kosovë-Shqipëri

Ministria e Brendshme e Republikës së Kosovës dhe Ministria e Punëve të Brendshme e Republikës së Shqipërisë kanë nënshkruar Protokollin Zbatues të Marrëveshjes Qeveritare për Regjimin e Trafikut Lokal në Zonat Kufitare, duke mundësuar e jetësuar lëvizjen e lirë të qytetarëve që banojnë në zonat kufitare, në 26 vendkalime të veçanta kufitare.

Prej ditës së sotme, mbi 200,000 shtetas të Kosovës dhe Shqipërisë që banojnë në zonat deri në 30 km nga kufiri tokësor kanë të drejtë të kalojnë kufirin lirshëm dhe të qëndrojnë në zonën kufitare, për arsye sociale, kulturore, familjare etj.
