The EU's special envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, has declared that the war started by Russia in Ukraine has changed everything and that it has also made the expansion of the EU a political issue, Gazeta Express reports.

Lajcak made these statements from a Forum in Dubrovnik, Croatia, where the Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, is also participating.

The Slovak emissary has said that unfinished business must be completed when it comes to the European integration of the Western Balkans region.

"At #DubrovnikForum2022, I pointed out that the war in Ukraine changed everything. He made the expansion political again. For a long time, we were complacent. This can't go on any longer. We must finish our unfinished work when it comes to the European integration of the Western Balkans", wrote Lajcak. /CNA.al
