Since February last year, Russia's war in Ukraine has continued unabated. Russia has taken control of several regions.

Some satellite images taken by the American satellite company Planet Labs show the aftermath of the attack in one of the regions occupied by Russia in eastern Ukraine. Specifically, the images were captured in the city of Makiivka, in the Donetsk region.

The images, published by CNN , are dated December 20, 2022 and January 2, 2023. According to Planet Labs, they show the building believed to house Russian troops before and after the attack.

The satellite image taken on January 2 shows an almost completely destroyed building.

These images were captured a few hours after Ukrainian forces bombed the Russian military base.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that 63 soldiers were killed in this attack./ BA - CNA.al
