FRONTEX: The crossing of irregular migrants from the Western Balkans decreases

The routes of the Central Mediterranean and the Western Balkans remain the most active for the passage of irregular immigrants, according to the latest report of the European Border Protection Agency, Frontex.

According to the report, in the first two months of 2023, the number of irregular border crossings reported by the authorities at the external borders of the European Union was 28,130, almost the same period last year.

The registration of irregular migrants in the Central Mediterranean has increased in the first two months of 2023 compared to the same period of the previous year.

Sipas raportit, 11951 kalime të migranëtve të parregullt u raportuan në këët rrugë për periudhën Janar -shkurt të vitit 2023 me një rritje 118% krahasuar me të njëjtën periudhë të një viti më parë.

Sipas raportit të FRONTEX në periudhën janar - shkurt të këtij viti në Rrugën e Ballkanit Perëndimor ku përfshihet edhe Shqipëria u evidentuan 8.394 kalime të parregullta me një rënie prej 28% krahasuar me të njëjtën periudhë të një viti më parë.

Vetëm në shkurt, sipas raportit u evidentuan rreth 13800 kalime të parregullta kufitare në kufijtë e jashtëm të Bashkimit Evropian.

Aktualisht, më shumë se 2400 oficerë të trupave tokësore dhe staf i Frontex po marrin pjesë në aktivitete të ndryshme operacionale.
