The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is not in danger of breaking down, despite Israeli attacks on Gaza, which, according to Palestinian authorities, have killed at least 30 people. This was stated by US President Donald Trump.

On a flight from Japan to South Korea, Trump told reporters accompanying him on Air Force One that nothing will jeopardize the agreed ceasefire. The US president justified the Israeli attacks on Gaza, blaming Hamas.

"They killed an Israeli soldier, so the Israelis retaliated appropriately ," he said. Trump also threatened Hamas with annihilation if it did not adhere to the ceasefire rules.

The raids on Gaza are taking place despite a ceasefire in place between Israel and Hamas. Israel has accused Hamas of violating the agreement and attacking Israeli troops, responding with fresh waves of airstrikes in the past 24 hours.

The attacks began shortly after the Israeli Prime Minister's office announced that Benjamin Netanyahu had ordered the military to immediately carry out heavy strikes on Gaza. This was preceded by Israel's announcement that Hamas had opened fire on Israeli forces in southern Gaza, which the organization denied, stressing that it remains committed to the ceasefire agreement.
