Prime Minister Netanyahu orders Israeli military for immediate attacks on Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the army to carry out intensive attacks on the Gaza Strip a few minutes ago.

The order was made public by Netanyahu's press office through a press statement.

"Following security consultations, Prime Minister Netanyahu instructed the military to immediately carry out powerful strikes in the Gaza Strip," his office said in a statement.

Netanyahu's order comes after he accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire in the territory by handing over the mortal remains of an Israeli hostage.

On Saturday, Trump called on Hamas to quickly begin returning the hostages, including two Americans, and stressed that if they do not do so, other countries involved in this great peace will take action. /CNA
