Transparency Board increases oil and gasoline prices

The Transparency Board, in its meeting held today, has decided to increase the price of diesel and gasoline for retail sales, starting at 6:00 PM.

Specifically, retail oil will be sold at 201 lek per liter, while wholesale at 189 lek per liter.

As for gasoline, it will be sold at 187 lek per liter at retail and 175 lek per liter at wholesale.

In the previous decision of May 9, the Board had set the price at 197 lek/liter for diesel and 182 lek/liter for gasoline.

 

Board Announcement

 

The Transparency Board on May 13, 2026, at its next meeting, decided:

The retail price of the gasoil by-product of the SSH EN 590 standard shall be no more than 201 lek/liter, while the wholesale price shall be no more than 189 lek/liter.

The retail price of the SSH EN standard gasoline by-product should be no more than 187 lek/liter, while the wholesale price should be no more than 175 lek/liter.

The prices set by the Board will come into effect today, the 13th, at 6:00 PM and will be valid until the next board meeting where the changes in sales prices will be reflected.

We draw the attention of every operator of wholesale and retail sales of petroleum by-products to the obligation to implement this decision.

In case of violations found by various operators, the suspension of activity will be decided.

 The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, together with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, are committed to protecting the interests of Albanian consumers and preserving the principles of fair competition in the market.
