Today at noon, the media announced that the former deputy prime minister Arben Ahmetaj's diplomatic passport was taken away.

This reaction of the government came immediately after the announcement made by the journalist Çim Peka that on Thursday evening, Syri TV will broadcast an interview in which Arben Ahmetaj spoke about Prime Minister Edi Rama, the mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj, has raised accusations, revealed his truth with the incinerators and the government's political relations with the oligarchs.

According to the report made today in the media immediately after the announcement of the interview by Çim Peka, the government has announced that it has revoked Ahmetaj's diplomatic passport.

In fact, this is a scandal.

First, because Ahmetaj has been on the run for about 7 months and SPAK has filed a charge against him, while he has been declared an international wanted man. How is it possible that the government did not take away his diplomatic passport for almost 7 months?

In the event that Arben Ahmetaj's diplomatic passport was not taken away immediately after his escape, the question arises, why was it left for so many months?

According to official data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for CNA, the diplomatic passport for senior officials is kept up to 3 years after the end of the mandate, while Mr. Ahmetaj was removed immediately after he was also removed from the mandate of the deputy and was replaced by the Parliament.

This was the argument that gave the CNA an official voice, but the law states that the passport can be kept for 3 years after the loss of the mandate.

On the other hand, the removal of the diplomatic passport came only today, after the announcement made by journalist Çim Peka that there will be an interview with Arben Ahmetaj, conducted a few days ago.

Also, a separate scandal is the fact that why the government did not take away Arben Ahmetaj's diplomatic passport at the moment he was declared internationally wanted, but left it for a few months and today, after appearing in the interview, his passport is taken away.

If Arben Ahmetaj would not speak, would they take away his passport?

So, in both cases, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is involved in the scandal.
