The sea surface in Albania is uncontrolled and is like a kind of jungle where order and law do not work.

This is what the former Minister of the Interior, Sandër Lleshaj, said in an interview for "Euronews Albania".

“Ne duhet të kuptojmë që një pjesë të Shqipërisë e kemi jashtë kontrollit, që është deti, prej kohësh. Për shumë arsye. Në radhë të parë, ne ende nuk e dimë, një pjesë e madhe e shqiptarëve nuk e dinë që përveç 28 mijë kilometrave katror tokë, kemi edhe disa mijëra kilometra katror det. Dhe kjo sipërfaqe detare e Shqipërisë është e pakontrollouar, është një lloj xhungle ku nuk finksionon rregulli dhe ligji”, theksoi ai.

Sipas Lleshajt, sipërfaqja detare ka nevojë të trajtohet si sipërfaqja tokësore, pasi është më e rëndëshime.

Ish-ministri nënvizoi se në sipërfaqen detare  zhvillohet aktiviteti jetik i shtetit shqiptar.

Një ngjarje e rëndë ndodhi mesditën e së martës në plazhin e Potamit në Himarë, ku një fëmijë e mitur u përplas për vdekje teksa ishte në breg, nga një skaf i cili drejtohej nga shtetasi Arjan Tase.
