Only one tourist marina in Albania, 5 ports along the entire coastline

Most of the tourist areas in Albania do not have ports to anchor the vessels. Ports on the Ionian coast are located in Vlora, Orikum and Saranda.

All the most frequented areas Palas, Dhërmi, Himare and Jalë do not have infrastructure to accommodate boats, speedboats or yachts.

Even along the coastline of the Adriatic Sea, most beaches do not have places for anchoring watercraft.

The ports of Durrës and Shengjin, which have cargo infrastructure, allow boat parking in some areas, but there are no tourist marinas in any other place along the Adriatic coast.

Qeveria ka dhënë në total 7 kontrata koncesionare për ndërtimin e porteve turistike, por i vetmi që ka arritur të ndërtohet është Porti i Orikumit.

Për kontratën e dhënë të Portit turistik të Vlorës nuk ka nisur ende ndërtimi dhe as për Portin turistik të Durrësit, Durrës Yahct Marina.

Një tjetër kontratë koncesionare e cila është në shkelje të plotë të afatit punimeve është Porti i Kalasë së Turrës.

Kontrata është firmosur një dekadë me parë dhe është me 2 vjet vonesë nga afati i vendosur për përfundimin e punimeve. Por në vend të anulimit të koncesionit, qeveria i ka atribuar kompanisë statusin e investitorit strategjik duke i dhuruar dhjetra hektarë tokë për të ndërtuar një kompleks me vila.

Kontrata për Albania Bay Marina e nënshkruar në vitin 2015 nga Ministria e Transportit dhe Punëve Publike është pezulluar dhe është në proces revokimi.
