Culinary and musical journey/ The Embassy of Albania in Vienna presents Albanian

On June 13, 2025, in the picturesque setting of Villa Flora, the 24th edition of the Traditional Garden Festival – “Culinary and Musical Journey through the Member Countries of the Vienna Economic Forum” took place.

As every year, Albania was represented with dignity by our Embassy in Vienna, through a presentation curated with taste and elegance. Guests had the opportunity to taste traditional Albanian food, including Fli – the typical specialty of northern Albania, recently registered as a Traditional Speciality Guaranteed (TSG) in the European Union.

The Albanian menu also included a rich selection of dishes such as meat, cheese and spinach pies, as well as traditional desserts such as trileçe, baklava and kadaif, which were welcomed with great interest and appreciation by the international audience.

This year, the Embassy particularly activated Albanian businesses operating in Austria, strengthening partnerships with the economic diaspora and promoting their quality initiatives. A special contribution came from the businesses “Late” and “Haxhi”, which supported the gastronomic presentation with high-level products and service.

In addition to the culinary aspect, Albania was also worthily represented in the artistic part of the event. Mr. Xhelal Memeti (known as Xhim Presheva) brought a special atmosphere with his guitar interpretations, singing selected pieces from the repertoire of Albanian folk music, which were warmly applauded by those present.

This year's participation marked a successful combination of culture, gastronomy, music and economic diplomacy, turning the Albanian stand into one of the most visited and most highly rated of this edition./ CNA
