Espionage in the service of the Iranian regime/SPAK checks in several apartments

The Special Prosecutor's Office continues the Controls and work to identify persons suspected of being involved in espionage and terrorist activity in Albania against the MEK.

According to the journalist of Report TV, Arsen Rusta, in addition to checking the apartments of some citizens and interrogating 11 other people, former members of the MEK, SPAK also carried out checks in some apartments in Laç and Lezhë and Fushë-Kruje, which are suspected of are involved in this espionage network.

From the control in these apartments, some items such as laptops or phones that may be of value to the investigation were seized.

Referring to SPAK's investigations so far, it is suspected that the persons under investigation were recruited by the Ministry of Interior of Iran. SPAK's investigations started after receiving indications that some people were preparing an agent network and had created an association in Albania, where the goal was to obtain information about the livelihood of mujahedin living in the camp in Manez.

It is suspected that there are also Albanian citizens in this espionage network. So far, no person has been detained or deported in connection with this issue, while according to SPAK, all suspects are being kept under surveillance by anti-terrorist and BKH agents.
