The Directorate of Road Transport announced that 5 vehicle drivers who had lost all their license points failed the retest and will now have to return to the driving school all over again to get their driving license back.

"Out of 18 re-registered people, only 5 showed up and all 5 failed the theory test, which sends them back to the driving school all over again to re-train, and re-submit for testing within a deadline 30-day (with only 1 trial opportunity)" , says a notice from DPSHTRR.

Some time ago, through a DPSHTRR instruction, the Road Directorate proposed to return to the course if drivers lose all driving license points due to violations of the traffic code.

The procedure is the same as the first time. First, they will go to the driving school, and then take the theoretical exam and the practical test.

The other new guideline is related to the business of driving schools. The prices for the trainee will be set every year by the Directorate of Roads and they cannot take more lek from the trainee than the specified amount.

The proposed changes aim to imitate the models of the European Union, to raise the awareness of car drivers, as well as to regulate the market of driving schools.
