The situation with the fires in the country/ 5 fires still active

The Ministry of Defense announces that during the last 24 hours in the country it has been possible to extinguish 43 out of 48 such fires.

655 operational forces and 63 vehicles were engaged in the operations, of which 109 military troops and 13 vehicles, 4 firefighting vehicles and the Cougar helicopter of the Air Force.

The fires have been extinguished in the counties of Kukës, Dibër, Shkodër, Lezhë, Durrës, Tirana, Fier, Vlorë and Gjirokastër.

In Surroj village, Surroj administrative unit, Kukës municipality. The fire has been active for days in a forest area. 39 forces from the local structures of the municipality and 17 effectives from the Armed Forces have been engaged in the field. The situation is towards normalization.

In Tetaj village , Lekbibaj administrative unit, Tropoje municipality. 13 forces from the local structures of Tropoja municipality have been engaged in the field. The situation is normalized, there is no danger to housing.

In the village of Bukëmirë, Rrëshen administrative unit, Mirditë municipality. The fire took place in an area of ??bushes and trees. At the scene, 40 forces from local structures (MZSH, police, municipality, Forestry Service, volunteers) were engaged, who managed to normalize the situation late in the evening. The fire is contained, being monitored for possible reactivation.

In Baqel village , Blinisht administrative unit. The fire developed on a surface with low vegetation and ash. Due to the intensity of the wind, the fire has spread over a large area that has included the villages of Baqel and Kraja of the Blinisht administrative unit and Dajç of the Dajç administrative unit. 105 operational forces were engaged in the field and they worked and managed to bring the fire under control at 20:00. The fire is contained, being monitored for possible reactivation. As a result of the fire, several buildings were damaged and an area of ??250 ha of bushes, orchards and hayfields was covered.

In the village of Mnelë e Vogël , Vig-Mnel administrative unit, Vau-Dejës municipality, the fire station has been reactivated. It is being worked on by the MOH Vau-Dejës. During the day, 41 operational forces were engaged at the scene. As a result of the wind, the fire in the evening hours grew in size, spreading in an extent of 3 km. 3 firefighting vehicles from FA./CNA worked in support of the forces on the ground
