A part of the pavement on the Pogradec–Qafë Plloçë axis, in the segment that passes near the village of Gështenjas, has completely collapsed. The event was observed in recent days, while along with the landslide of the pavement, it is reported that underground networks have also been damaged. The landslide is considerable and at the moment it is not known whether it also endangers the roadway.

In addition to the damage to the sidewalk, this axis has been without lighting for months, even though it passes between residential areas, seriously endangering the lives of pedestrians.

According to data, the reconstruction of the road, the widening of lanes, the installation of traffic dividers, sidewalks and the lighting system were completed as an investment in September 2018. The Pogradec–Qafë Plloçë axis has been known for years as one of the "black spots" of the southeast in terms of road accidents. /CNA
