Today, members of the Albanian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Ogerta Manastirliu and Iris Luarasi, held a meeting with the newly elected President of the Assembly, Petra Bayer.

The meeting focused on Albania's path towards closing the post-monitoring process and discussing the positive steps being taken.

President Bayer, known for her commitment to human and women's rights, expressed support for advancing reforms and respecting European standards.

The members of the Albanian delegation emphasized the importance of continuing reforms at a sustainable pace and seriousness, with the aim of Albania concluding this process with concrete results by the end of 2026.

The meeting confirmed the joint commitment to promoting human rights, advancing women's rights, and integrating Albania into European standards.
